I am a certified End-of-Life Doula with a lifelong passion towards helping others. I am dedicated to guiding and helping individuals that are going through major life transitions. I am a trained non-medical companion who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to people nearing the end of life and their families.
Who I Am
Hello and welcome. I believe that every life has a story- and that the final chapter deserves to be met with the same care, dignity, and meaning as all the chapters that came before.
My name is Joann Borner, and I am an End-of-Life Doula. I feel deeply called to walk alongside individuals and families during one of life's most tender and difficult transitions: the journey toward the end of life.
Death and dying can feel frightening, overwhelming, and unfamiliar. My role is to help make this experience feel a little less so. I offer a calm steady presence where there is room to breathe, to feel, to ask questions, to remember, and to simply be.
I believe no two people experience the end of life the same way. I take the time to listen and learn who you are- what matters to you, what brings you comfort, who you want beside you, how you want to be remembered, and what you hope your final chapter will look like. My goal is to honor your wishes and help bring those wishes into reality whenever possible.
Families
For families, I provide compassionate companionship and practical support through the uncertainty of this time. Sometimes that means helping you navigate difficult conversations or prepare for what lies ahead. Sometimes it means helping create meaningful moments with the people you love. And sometimes it simply means sitting beside you, holding a hand, and being present when there are no words. I don't believe anyone should have to walk this journey feeling alone or unsure of what comes next. It is an honor to be invited into someone's life during such a deeply personal time. I am here to listen, to guide, to comfort, and to help you find your way through life's final chapter-
